Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell (born Shay Mitchell) is a Canadian actor, model and entrepreneur. She is best known as Emily Fields from the Freeform TV series Pretty Little Liars. Shay Lo is the nickname of an avid Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fan who became popular among the group of friends. She developed a passion for the performing arts as a child and even talked to her parents about the possibility of pursuing an occupation in this field. She was keen to attend acting classes in Toronto after achieving great results at modeling and dancing. Mitchell started her acting career by appearing in the production of a few television commercials. After landing guest roles and some small roles in television, she scored her first break Pretty Little Liars when cast as Emily Fields. The critics and the fans alike applauded her talents. She then made her mark in the world of film with Dreamland and Mother's Day. Her name gained more attention in the role of an actor in a thriller about psychological issues in You. Apart from acting Shay Mitchell has also ventured into writing. She co-wrote an adult book titled Bliss together with Michaela Blaney.
