The early achievements of Maureen FitzSimons in the arts of performing, and which we now know as Maureen O'Hara, would certainly qualify her for being in the "child prodigy" category. But for a young Irish girl who was surrounded by gifted parents and extended families, these characteristics were a naturally. Maureen was born in Ranelagh - a suburb of Dublin in Ireland, on 17 August 1920. Marguerita FitzSimons was an accomplished contralto. His father, Charles FitzSimons, managed a business in Dublin and was also the owner of the famous Irish soccer club "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons' is the 2nd FitzSimons child. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen enjoyed rough sports as an infant and was extremely proficient in them. Additionally, she had a gift acting. As a result, she was awarded almost all of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances within her own country. At age 14she was admitted into the Abbey Theater, where her goal was to study operatic singing as well as classical theater.
